The purpose of this amendment is as follows:

1. Provide responses to submitted questions below.

This amendment DOES NOT change the quote due date for this solicitation.

Q&A #4 Virtual Pharmacy Services Q1: I must refer you to the following question:

“Q 10. How many Pharmacists are currently providing the need and at how many locations in Prescott?

A: One pharmacist, one location” The response here refers to the correct fact that one (1) pharmacist alone is needed to work at any given time, but with respect to manning the contract, two (2) pharmacists are needed based on the # of night shift hours. Based on safety and risk management in patient care, this is the only correct way to go.

A1: We need coverage equivalent to 10hrs per night Mon-Fri, 16 hrs Sat, Sun, holidays. How many Pharmacists is up to the contractor.

Q2: Salient Points to be noted:

1. The hours indicate that a pharmacist must be on duty 80 hours a week.

2. This is an overnight position.

3. The way this question is framed, allows for someone who is NOT knowledgeable of the best practice values in pharmacy, believe that only 1 pharmacist is necessary for the contract.

4. The PWS contract compliance requests that the pharmacist on duty login at least every 30 minutes. This clearly indicates that a pharmacist must be awake and able to work for 10 hours during the M-F week shifts, and for 15 hours on a Saturday and 15 hours on a Sunday and Federal holiday.

A2: We need coverage equivalent to 10hrs per night Mon-Fri, 15 hrs Sat, Sun, holidays. How many Pharmacists is up to the contractor.
