About this file

This is an Amendment to a Previous Combined Solicitation issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, North Texas Veterans Health Care System (Regional Procurement Office West) for STX Emergency Call Boxes under solicitation number 36C25726R0069. The amendment responds to vendor-submitted questions and notifies offerors that the question submission period has closed; no additional questions will be answered before the closing date. The response deadline is March 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM Central Time. The contract is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBC), and the place of performance is the South Texas Healthcare System in San Antonio, Texas (postal code 78229). The Product Service Code is N042, with NAICS code 812930.

The amendment clarifies four key vendor questions regarding the call box specifications. All boxes must operate on IP technology using Power over Ethernet (PoE) as the primary power supply, with solar and backup battery as viable alternatives. The call boxes must be free-standing units installed within the patient parking lot, capable of communicating directly with police dispatch at the Audie L. Murphy Medical Center and the Kerrville clinic. The solicitation accepts the Verkada TD53 Video Intercom (Brand Name or Equal) with the clarification that annual license renewals are required and will continue functioning while offline. Required services include quarterly firmware and software updates, administrative control for at least five customer-designated personnel, and video and audio transmission capability. Proposals must be emailed to matthew.clements2@va.gov and christopher-noel.ward@va.gov and must include all requested documentation to be evaluated.
