About this file
This is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract document, specifically Amendment 0001, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 17 in San Antonio, Texas. The amendment provides answers to questions submitted during the questions-and-answer period for solicitation 36C25726Q0528, with no further questions to be answered.
The solicitation closes on June 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM Central Standard Time, with all responses to be submitted to Teresa Arzola at teresa.arzola@va.gov. The questions and answers address three primary topics: Line 18 involves a 1-year Gold Level Service Contract (part # SV100), clarifying that this represents an additional year of warranty for all three Maestro Grossing Stations beyond the standard factory warranty, resulting in two years total coverage; air testing requirements, confirming that VA in-house staff will perform necessary air testing of units post-installation; and special attire requirements for OR suite installation, noting that special clean room dress is required but will be provided by the VA for a reasonable number of persons.

CONTINUATION PAGE
1. Would like to request clarification on one of the line items.
Line 18 is for 1 each of our part # SV100 (Service Contract – Gold Level – 1 Year).
I would like to see if you could advise on the following:
➢ Our Maestro Grossing Stations come with a 1 year factory warranty. Is the intent of the line item below to add an “additional” year of warranty to the grossing stations for a total of 2 years coverage on each station?
➢ Or, is this simply a line item to show the cost of the standard 1 year warranty?
No, this was for a purchase of 1 additional year of warranty for all 3 grossing stations.
2. As a follow up to my question below, our installation manager is asking the following:
➢ I’ve read the solicitation a couple of times, and do not see any notice that Air Testing of the units post installation is a requirement. Can you please confirm this?
Yes, all hook-ups will be handled by in-house staff, so they will perform any necessary air testing of the units once installed.
➢ For the Maestro station going into the OR suite, will our installers be required to do any special clean room attire? If so, will this be provided by the VA or do we have to supply our own?
In the OR, special dress is required; however, these items are provided for a reasonable number of persons.
