About this file
This document is an Amendment to Request for Quote (RFQ) 36C25725Q0448 for Neuromonitoring Equipment and Technicians issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The amendment provides technical questions and answers, clarifying key details about the procurement, including specifications for neuromonitoring systems, credentialing requirements for physicians, and remote connection infrastructure. Specifically, the amendment notes that no camera is required for the neuromonitoring system, physicians must have an active Texas medical license and be from a US board-certified residency program, and the facility may allow contractors to access public Wi-Fi or hardwire LAN connections, subject to HIPAA and data privacy requirements.
The solicitation is an unrestricted procurement under NAICS code 621399 with a small business size standard of $10 million. Offers are due by 2:00 PM EST on June 9, 2025, and must be submitted electronically to Brandy Riha at brandy.riha@va.gov. Historical data indicates the facility performed 129 procedures in 2023, 107 in 2024, and 33 year-to-date in 2025, with no anticipated concurrent cases and extremely rare cancellations. The procurement is for the Veterans Health Administration's Veterans Integrated Service Network 17, specifically for neuromonitoring equipment and professional services.

2 - (no page/reference) - MD/DO Credentialing for Professional Services
1.) Monitoring Professional (MD/DO) - Credentialing and Privileging
A.) Can you please detail the credentialing process for a vendors remote online MD/DOs?
B.) How many physicians will the facility allow us to credential?
C.) How long does the average application take to process to grant privileges?
a.2 Physicians will be required for real-time interpretation, must have an active and in good standing license to practice medicine in the state of Texas, and have graduated from a US based board-certified residency program in Neurology. If the contractor is a Joint Commission Accredited Organization, delegated credentialing of the remote MD/DOs may be appropriate to provide real-time remote interpretation of IONM data, pending confirmation with Dallas VA credentialing policies.
3 - (no/page reference) - Professional Monitoring Remote Connection Infrastructure
2.) Internet Connection:
A.) With the requirement for real-time, remote professional oversite, can you please detail the government's understanding and preferences of how the vendor will be able to utilize a government provided internet connection?
a.3 The facility may allow contractors to access facility's public Wi-Fi, assuming the vendor's internet connection meets all relevant HIPAA and data privacy policy requirements. If the public Wi-Fi is not available, the government may consider facilitating contractors to connect via hardwire LAN connections. Access to the internal network is not required.
4 - Please provide historical data about individual procedure types, dates, and total monitoring time by procedure for 2023, 2024, and YTD 2025?
