About this file
This is a Special Notice announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs' intent to award a sole-source bridge contract to Beckman Coulter, Inc. for an integrated chemistry Cost-Per-Reportable Result (CPRR) program. The contract will provide equipment rental and maintenance services for multiple analyzers across three Texas facilities: Temple (2 AU5822, 2 DXI800, and Automation Line), Austin (1 AU700, 1 DXI600), and Waco (1 AU700, 1 DXI600). The CPRR program includes 103 different chemistry and immunochemistry tests, along with all required reagents, controls, and consumable supplies.
The bridge contract period of performance is January 15, 2025, through October 14, 2025. The sole-source justification stems from the need for additional time to implement and validate new equipment analyzers under contract 36C25723Q1104/36C25724A0003. This bridge extends coverage from the expiring BPA 36C25719A0012 (ended January 14, 2024) and Order 36C25724N0177 (ending January 14, 2025). Interested parties have 7 days to submit capability statements, though no contract will be awarded based on responses unless a more advantageous source is identified. The contract will be a firm-fixed price VA NAC FSS Order under NAICS code 334516 and PSC 6630.
