About this file
This is a Special Notice announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs' intent to award a sole-source bridge contract to Beckman Coulter, Inc. for an integrated chemistry Cost-Per-Reportable Result (CPRR) program. The contract will cover equipment rental and maintenance services for multiple locations within the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (Temple, Austin, and Waco), including specific equipment configurations: 2 AU5822, 2 DXI800, and Automation Line in Temple; 1 AU700 and 1 DXI600 in Austin; and 1 AU700 and 1 DXI600 in Waco.
The bridge contract will run from January 15, 2025, through October 14, 2025, and includes a CPRR program for 103 different chemistry and immunochemistry tests, including all required reagents, controls, and consumable supplies. The sole-source justification cites the need for additional time to implement and validate new equipment analyzers, bridging between BPA 36C25719A0012 (expired January 14, 2024) and Order 36C25724N0177 (expires January 14, 2025). Interested parties have 7 days to submit capability statements, though this is not a request for proposals. The contract uses NAICS code 334516 and PSC 6630.
