Q1. Please confirm the hospital’s required controls contractor is Entech Sales and Service, brian.simmons@entechsales.com.

Answer: The license required for our controls system is EcoXpert – Building Automation – Master Program Level. Entech Sales and Service is currently qualified for the license.

Q2. Can the Superintendent also act as the SSHO and QC Manager on this small project?

Answer: No, this project requires a separate SSHO. Superintendent may also serve as QC Manager if they meet qualifications for both positions. Refer to project specifications.

Q3. Can the large QC staff be deleted from this small project? Reference Section 01 45 00-6 paragraph 3.4.B.

Answer: No, QC Staff shall be as applicable to the project. A project of mechanical scope typically uses a PM or QC Manager with Mechanical Engineering background to minimize QC staff.

Q4. Confirm Section 01 45 35 Special Inspections is not applicable to this project as there are no structural changes and San Antonio is in Seismic Zone 0.

Answer: Correct, the section only applies to the AE and the Government as needed.

Q5. Please confirm asbestos pipe insulation is limited to piping shown to be demolished on the plans.

Answer: AE confirmed, there is no known asbestos pipe insulation or ACM in the

CLC.

Q6. We see no work requirements on the plans for drywall, acoustic ceilings and paint.

What work, if any, is intended by the specifications provided for drywall, acoustic ceilings and paint?
