36C25724Q0265 – Clarifications (#5 & 6)

#5. Could you please verify that this is only the Semi-Annual (6M) Boiler PM, per VHA 1810 frequency chart, pages 23 to 28 of 1810_D_2023-01-04.

Previous Answer: No, see attached VHA Boiler and Associated Plant Safety Device Testing Manual, 7th Edition / (see new price schedule) o In the referenced frequency chart, there are no Quarterly requirements. Could you please define the quarterly requirements, or do you want the Monthly PM tasks completed, but billed as quarterly?

CLARIFICATION - There are no quarterly requirements. COR will be working with vendor to set up a schedule to accomplish 6 months testing as required but not all in the same month. Over the period of the first 3 months, all semi-annual/6-month testing completed.

Payment should be billed accordingly/per month. The yearly requirements from the 1810, #1, 2,4, 5, 11, 12, 14 which are annuals will be conducted by contractor. Line Items 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001 & 4001 Unit of Issue has been changed from Job to Year and Quarterly Services have been removed.

#6. Is Boiler and/or tank cleaning part of the contract?

If so, is refractory repair to be billed separately as level of repairs vary. Cleaning is not listed in the VHA Boiler and Associated Plant Safety Device Testing Manual, 7th Edition, but is part of several other PM contracts. Could you please specifically state if you would like cleaning part of annual requirements or not as this adds a great deal of cost to each boiler so must be accurately accounted for.

Previous Answer: See new Price Schedule

CLARIFICATION - Tank cleaning will be completed by plant operators. Cleaning boilers, repairing refractory and cleaning tanks are not included in this requirement. Boiler and tank inspections are accomplished separately.
