About this file
This document is an Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) for a construction project to upgrade the inpatient wards isolation rooms exhaust system at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. The ICRA classifies the project as a Type C activity with a moderate amount of dust and debris, and designates the patient risk group as High Risk, requiring Class IV precautions. The ICRA outlines the specific construction activities covered, including removal of drywall, dry sanding, and other invasive work. It mandates infection control documents for the project due to the high-risk patient population. The related federal contract opportunity, solicitation number 36C25624R0109, is for the Z1DA--CON Project 667-25-125 to upgrade the isolation wards room exhaust system, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 16.
