Questions and Answers (in blue)
1. The SOW section 2.1 states "a quantity of 30 130-gallon containers permanently labeled rolling containers with lids permanently labeled as BIOHAZARD, rolling containers with lids." and again in 2.8 is it 30-130 gallon containers? or 30 30-gallon containers? 30-130 gallon containers
2. The question that we have is the Statement of Work requires the trailer that holds the containers and waste to be exchanged once weekly and we are curious if it will be acceptable to exchange the trailer every other week versus weekly? Please advise. If it works every other week that would be fine but there will not be a trailer that holds the containers.
3. Who is the incumbent – NEIE Medical Waste Services, LLC
4. “How many LBS per month or weekly? The main facility and CBOCs are generating approximately 2,350 pounds per week of medical waste. Resulting in 122,200 pounds per year.
5. Can you send me the old contact number? This will be a new contact SDVOSB NEIE Medical Waste Services LLC are currently providing the services under a 3-month bridge until a new base + four can be awarded. 36C25624P0072
6. Is there not going to be a site visit We do not see one scheduled. No
7. What are the historical volumes generated weekly at each location - The main facility and CBOCs are generating approximately 2350 pounds per week of medical waste. Resulting in 122,200 pounds per year.
8. Is any other waste included (i.e. Chemo, pharma, etc.) No Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) only. The description of the RMW is listed in the Scope of PWS.
9. The solicitation only lists RMW tubs, so sharps containers are not part of the solicitation?
Section 2.15.1.3 states incineration of path waste, is path waste included? We did not see the tubs for path waste listed. If so how much path waste is generated per location? There will be no pathological waste as of yet. If there is pathological waste in the future, the government will work with the contractor through the contract.
The government provides the small plastic sharps containers that are located at each nurse’s station, lab. Etc. The Pineville (Main Facility) location places these containers with the other RMW, but we do intend on possibly separating them. If so, we will consider a separate container that will be located at the pick-up area. If this is the case, then we will work with the contractor about supplying them. As of now, no specified container will be at the pick-up area in Pineville. But, as specified in section 2.0, the CBOC locations, the contractor shall furnish the government with three 18-gallon sharps containers and thirty 30 - Gallon RMW containers located in the pick-up area of each CBOC.
