Submitted Questions:
Question 1: Can photos be provided of the equipment for each type of system?
Answer: A site visit is scheduled to review the equipment- April 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
Question 2: Due to COVID-19, do you want the contractor to work at night when there is less people around to reduce the risk?
Answer: No, the risk will be the same either way. The facility has limited the number of employees on-site by having them telework. The facility has already taken steps to mitigate the risk of exposure. If a filter needs to be changed inside a COVID19 patient room, PPE will be required.
A site visit is scheduled for April 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the location listed below. Contractors wishing to view the buildings that are identified for sample pricing are encouraged to attend this site visit. However, attendance is not mandatory, but quotes could be affected. This responsibility is on the Contractor.
The Contracting POC for the site visit is Veronica Maskell and can be reached via e-mail at veronica.maskell@va.gov. Confirmations are required to be provided to POC at least 2 days prior to the site visit schedule.
Meeting location for the site visit is:
Overton Brooks VAMC Bldg #2 Shreveport, La 71101 OBVAMC POCS: Hank Ward or Greg Salinas
***Directions to the location: *** “Fort Street & Royal Street, Highland, Stoner Hill, Shreveport, LA.” This will bring you through the truck entrance. Building# 2 will be the 1st building on the left as you come through the second gate. https://goo.gl/maps/FeSnpyxueTagHCiT8 ***Special Instructions due to COVID-19: *** Please call 318-990-4397 if you are stopped at either of the 2 gates and the OBVAMC POC will arrange for access to the station. Upon entering the facility be prepared to answer screening questions. If the contractor is symptomatic, you will not be allowed in the facility. It would advisable to bring your own surgical mask, or mask of your preference.****
