As IP-based video surveillance solutions become increasingly prevalent, new architectures, technologies and services in this expanding market are being developed. Despite this, analog cameras and analog-based solutions are still being used in the majority of existing video surveillance installations. In response, NiceVision has developed a new solution that can process and manage both
IP inputs and analog cameras: the Hybrid SVR. Now organizations can take full advantage of the benefits of IP-based solutions while protecting past investments and utilizing their analog equipment.
NiceVision HYBRID SMART VIDEO
RECORDER (SVR)
Protecting past investments, leveraging new technology
The best of both worlds for a variety of reasons, advancements in technology often outpace an organization’s ability to leverage and deploy them.
Obstacles can include budgetary restrictions, a desire to protect past investments, or even the inability to disrupt services.
NiceVision’s Hybrid SVR was designed to allow organizations the ability to take advantage of the advancements being made in IP-based technology at their own pace and without costly equipment replacement.
NiceVision’s Hybrid SVR is based on the SVR9000’s leading technology, with the benefits of both the NVR and DVR. The Hybrid
SVR offers a higher channel density when compared to DVR solutions, in addition to NiceVision’s advanced features such as video analytics
(VA), camera tampering (CT), visual parameter optimizer (VPO), IP plug-in, and support for megapixel cameras.
Cost-effective migration, at your pace the Hybrid SVR offers a smooth and cost-effective migration path from analog to IP, and you can go about this transition one box at a time. It lowers network overload when compared to encoder-based solutions. Its solution architecture also enables analog inputs to benefit from all of NiceVision’s advanced features.
Nicevision hybrid SVR benefits:
Evolutionary – supports both analog and IP cameras, allowing you to make the IP transition according to your needs
Flexible – grow or expand your system at your own pace with any combination of analog and IP channels
Protects investment – allows you to keep legacy analog cameras while boosting their capabilities
Enables the latest functionality – the server-based Hybrid SVR supports value-added solutions such as video analytics (VA), connectivity to numerous IP cameras through an IP plug-in and video-quality features
Reduced TCO – uses far less rack space and network resources
Increased analog capacity – supports up to 64 analog channels
Easy expansion – increase analog channels from 16 up to 64
Simple installation – a cable connection is all that is necessary; no need to open the server or perform any complex changes
Redundant – optional with 1+1 configuration
