59. Is the existing lighting fixtures Reduction of Hazardous

Substances Compliant?

Solicitation #36C25524R0108

60. •Drawing 01 – GI – 002

Note # 44 indicates the possibility of piping and mechanical items having existing asbestos located on them, and requiring re-Insulation if found, however in the

July 14, 2022 industrial hygiene report for MRI and equipment room it does not reflect testing the MEP utilities ..only the room envelope.

61. Who is responsible for existing asbestos on MEP? Be advised this may be on the piping that has” not been tested” or the mechanical equipment that has not been tested. These components in this report by precision analysis and design engineering appear to have been not tested.

62. It appears that all construction noise and vibration impact to patients will require off hours work. Will the VA require an on-site VA employee/representative to monitor construction activities alongside the contractor?

63. This could be extensive after hour work. Can the VA be able to meet the weekend and after hours work demands by providing a VA escort…? Or will contractor be able to work independently?

64. Does the existing skylight leak presently or in the past?

Has it been maintained by any particular manufacturer or Glass company?

Is there an existing warranty covering the upkeep?

Response: No leaking has been observed. VA staff maintain.

65. Drawing 01 – AE – 121

Room “schedule finishes” at top of drawing “conflicts with the “renovation notes

“A&B at bottom of life safety floor plan”

We assume MRI ceiling grid to be non-Ferrous and MRI flooring to be static dissipated Confirm, as this means finish schedule is incorrect.

Response: Contractor to field verify and match existing.

66. Drawing 01 – AE – 122

Light fixtures, detail 3 and ACT detail 2 reflect “seismic restraint” requirements

However, MEP utility lines and piping do not reflect seismic bracing. Is seismic bracing required on MEP utilities? Or just Lighting fixtures and ACT?

67. Drawing 01 – AE – 131

Architectural roof plan reflects existing chiller to be removed however it does not match the same chiller as showing on the mechanical drawings 01-EP-131.

Appears architectural drawing has incorrect location thus incorrect chiller to be demoed, please confirm.

Response: Mechanical Drawing is correct.

Solicitation #36C25524R0108

68. Drawing 01 – SF – 121 detail 2

Reflects 2 different SIKA concrete infill products to be used for patching concrete under the plate removal (under table and gantry)

69. Sika quick 1000 as well as Sika Armatec 110 epo cement.

Are these 2 products intended to be used in combination? or is this an error on the prints?

70. 01 – MH – 123 note 7

Shows O2 sensor for control of EEF2

Is this sensor existing or to be provided new by the contractor? If existing …has it been recently calibrated? If existing is it under warranty?

Response: Contractor to field verify and coordinate with equipment vendor.

71. Drawing 01 – MH – 132 note 5 says that “MRI vendor “is responsible for transporting the chiller after deinstallation as it is their property. Contractor interprets this disposal to take place same time as the de-installation. Can the VA confirm with vendor of MRI that they will have adequate transport at that time to include the chiller? Otherwise it will violate the 2-3 days allowed for storage on site.

Solicitation #36C25524R0108

72. Drawing 01 – EG – 503

Please confirm that the UPS provided by the vendor will include “installation and hook up of internal batteries” within the cabinet of the UPS?

Response: Contractor to coordinate with equipment vendor.

73. Drawings 01 – EG – 601 “lighting fixture schedule”

Appears this is for reference only and “does not “relate to the required lighting floor plan as shown on drawing 01 – EL – 121. Is this a correct assumption that these lighting fixtures shown on this schedule “are not requiring this project.”

Confirm intent?

74. Drawing 01 – MG – 601 air cool chiller unit schedule reflects a manufacture model number of a “Jetson AccMO2O-F”

This is not a normally supplied chiller unit for a Siemens, or other MRI vendors

Is this the correct chiller being supplied by vendor? Confirm?

It also requires the ACCU-2 to be monitored by back net. What are the

Solicitation #36C25524R0108 specifications required for BMS?

Are there any temperature.. flow …start? Stop? status requirements required by

BMS

75. What about O2 monitor and exhaust fan? are there monitoring requirements?

76. Is there a chiller remote display at the control room ?so there should be a conduit, which is not shown.

77. Sheet 01-AE-121 room schedule indicates room A280 flooring finish to be SVT-1 Johnsonite but renovation note A indicates Tarkett. Which flooring are we to include for Room A280?

Response: No flooring in Control Room A280.

78. Please verify that the new bid date is September 12, 2024?

Response: Bid Date is due September 12, 2024 at 2pm CST.
