About this file

This amendment to the solicitation for eyeglasses and optician services for Veterans Integrated Service Network 15 modifies the original solicitation in several ways. The contractor must offer veterans the option to privately pay for upgrades such as anti-reflective coatings and photochromic lenses when ordering glasses, and must also allow a second pair to be ordered using the same prescription and frame as the VA-ordered glasses. The amendment also extends the warranty period to a minimum of one year from receipt of the glasses, and clarifies requirements around remaking glasses if defects are discovered during the warranty period. The Department of Veterans Affairs is the issuing agency, with a response due date of October 31, 2023.
