Q & A FOR 36C25524Q0040_1 – REGULATED MED WASTE (VISN)

1. Who is doing the service right now and what is the contract number?

a. NEIE holds the current contract, 36C25519D0029.

2. Is it a set price for all facilities’ or individually it adds up?

a. The Guaranteed Minimum is the guaranteed minimum the Government can pay the vendor for the life of the contract.

b. The Contract Ceiling for the Life of the Contract is the maximum payout to the vendor for the entirety of the five-year contract.

3. Where exactly is the RFQ located?

a. https://sam.gov/opp/17b8b1d20e82423b8069b78c001eb34a/view

4. Where can the pay scale be located?

a. Look at the Cost/Price Schedule for guidance. The Government cannot provide details as to how interested vendors develop their quotes.

5. Are you able to tell us if cardboard boxes or plastic containers are used?

a. Please see paragraph 6, Performance Requirement page 71 which states “Containerize and seal the regulated medical waste by placing the waste in approved plastic waste receptacle liners and/or disposable sharps containers that are marked with the international biohazard symbol and the wording, "Infectious Waste," or "Biohazard Waste." Seal the Contractor provided box filled with medical waste and transport the container to the designated storage area for pickup at the times and places agreed upon by the parties.”

6. Does each location have one central pick?

a. Please see paragraph 4, Place of Performance on pages 64-70.

7. It looks like there are two due dates on the SAM website, 10/30/2024 and 11/20/2024. Can you confirm the Current Date off Due?

a. October 30, 2024 by 11:59PM Central Time

8. Would the Government like the pricing for the pickups to be based off the number of times per week/month or per pound?

a. The estimated amounts were provided to give insight on the amount to be picked up at each place of performance. However, it is the interested vendor(s) responsibility to provide the pricing.

9. What is the container size?

a. The measurements are 21"H, 24"L, 20"W, 28 gallon tubs
