About this file

This document is an Amendment to Solicitation 36C25226Q0235 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, with an effective date of April 24, 2026. The amendment serves to answer vendor-submitted questions regarding a medical supplies and equipment courier service contract for the Danville VA facility and its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). This is a new contract with a base year (June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027) plus four option years.

The courier service will transport medical equipment and supplies including exam tables (up to 300 lbs), hospital beds, medical carts, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, refrigerators, and other standard-grade equipment. The contractor must provide both a Sprinter van and a 21-foot box truck capable of handling up to 1,200 cubic feet of storage and maximum loads of 26,000 lbs. Scheduled trips operate Monday through Friday from the Danville facility to various CBOCs (Champaign, Peoria, Bloomington, Mattoon, Springfield, and Decatur) with no Friday service outside Peoria. The contractor is responsible for loading and unloading, providing equipment such as handcarts, and offering lift gate service. Four reusable container sizes are specified (ranging from 15"W x 21"L x 12"H to 22"W x 30"L x 20"H). Emergency trips require separate invoicing for purchase card payment. Drivers are not required to operate forklifts, and all equipment will be fully assembled prior to transport.
