About this file

This document contains responses to questions from contractors regarding replacement of an environmental protection laboratory server room air handling unit for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Key details include that the project will require HVAC controls specifications, commissioning by a third party, and allow for the site superintendent and safety officer roles to be fulfilled by the same individual. The anticipated award date is the second quarter of fiscal year 2023, with notice to proceed and construction start dependent on equipment delivery timelines. The contract duration will not be extended for long lead time items at this time. Insulation and temperature control specifications are referenced. Training of four hours is to be included, and demolition of unforeseen mechanical systems will utilize the standard contract modification process.
