About this file

This document is a Requests for Information (RFI) response for RFQ# 36C25026Q0979 concerning parking garage roll-up door replacement. The RFI addresses seven inquiries from potential suppliers regarding the project specifications and requirements.

The contract specifies replacement of ASI DURA-Roll 109 roll-up doors, with no approved equivalent substitutions permitted (specifically excluding Hörmann high-speed doors). The doors must integrate with existing Tiba Spark Traffic and Safety Access Control System lift barriers. The project budget ranges from $100,000 to $200,000, with a standard completion timeline of 60 days after Notice to Proceed, though this is negotiable based on supplier lead times. Site visits are available by contacting Casey Thayer at 313-576-4507. Accompanying the RFI are photographs documenting the existing electrical closets and power feeds, various roll-up door installations at different locations (Hancock side northeast doors, John R. Street southwest doors), door control systems, and door condition details showing rust and deterioration at multiple garage entry points requiring replacement.
