About this file

This is an Amendment/Modification (Amendment 0002) to Solicitation 36C25026Q0672 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office in Kettering, Ohio. The amendment was effective June 29, 2026, and addresses questions submitted by offerors regarding the Building 350 Avigilon Security system upgrade project at Dayton VAMC. The amendment announces a mandatory site visit scheduled for Thursday, July 16th at 9:00 AM EST at Building 128, Dayton VAMC, 4100 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428, where all offerors must meet.

The amendment consists primarily of a comprehensive Questions and Answers section that clarifies project scope and technical requirements. Key clarifications include: the project involves 12 access-controlled doors (not 16 as initially stated), with specific room identifications provided; existing card readers, locks, REX devices, door contacts, and cabling will be reused; all existing door hardware and cabling are compatible with the new Avigilon system and require no replacement; the enclosures will be replaced with Life Safety Power units (either 2x FPO 150-B100C808PE4M or 4x FPO 75-B100C4D8PE2M) with wiring of the enclosures; specified Avigilon controllers are required (1x Mercury MP1502 and 1x Mercury MR-52-S3B); and the network switch must be a 24-port Lantronix SM24TAT2S4 with one Cat6 port and one fiber port for potential future camera upgrades. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
