Card Readers currently installed are a combination of HID RP40 multiCLASS Readers (25% of total count) and RPK40 multiCLASS Readers with Keypads (75% of total count). There are 3 Community Based Outpatient Clinic’s (CBOC’s) that currently have 40 total card readers and an additional 2 more CBOC’s are planned which will add an additional 20 card readers. CVAMC main campus has 6 client computers and the above mentioned CBOC’s have 1 client computer each. Other current system components not mentioned above include Bosch DS150i Request‑to‑exit PIR Detectors, GE magnetic contacts model 1076D (Flush mount) and model 2507AD (Surface mount), and approximately 5 Locknetics Scramble pads.

The AMAG Symmetry platform software is installed on a VA owned virtual server. Each security device is connected via the VA OIT network and is assigned an IP address that is behind a network Access Control List (ACL) which adds to the complexity of the system. Please note that the AMAG system currently does not need to be FICAM compliant.
