About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract solicitation 36C24827Q0025, issued by the government on October 8, 2026, for Critical Care Hospital Bed Rental Services on a GSA Schedule.
The solicitation is a new competitive procurement for rental of nine categories of specialized medical equipment, including various types of critical care hospital beds. Hill-Rom Inc. is the current incumbent contractor under GSA Order 36F79721D0160 - 36C24827F0012, with a current contract value of $263,429.44. Pricing shall be provided for all nine equipment line items (CLINs 0001-0009) with unit of measure in days (DY), representing estimated rental days per year. The government intends for a single award covering the complete requirement, and offerors must be authorized by the OEM(s) to provide the required rental services. Offerors may propose brand-name items for some CLINs and "equal" items for others using different OEMs, provided OEM Authorization Letters are submitted for each. The daily rental rate must be all-inclusive, covering delivery, setup, pickup, maintenance, repairs, replacement of defective equipment, and required training, with no separate pricing anticipated for these services. There is no minimum guaranteed order quantity or dollar amount for the base year. The solicitation includes FAR Clause 52.217-6 for Option for Increased Quantity and contains corrections to the original solicitation, including correction of Option Period 4 dates for CLINs 4005-4009 to 12-01-2030 through 11-30-2031 and clarification that the lease-to-purchase option has been removed as there is no requirement for such an option.
