The questions made during the site visit conducted on 10/14/2024 for the aforementioned solicitation, as well as the answers are as follows:
1- Question: In order to clean this area either by any of the methods suspend scaffold or rope descent, certified anchor points are required. Load certification to 5,000 lbs. plus annual visual inspections in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 1910.27. Does the VACHS have this certification?
Answer: A load test, which is required to be performed on these anchor points every ten (10) years, was performed on April 22, 2021. Annual visual inspections shall be procured through another contract vehicle.
2- Question: Do cleaning services include the Admin building walkway?
Answer: No, it does not, since that walkway is cleaned under another contract. Section 2.1 of the PWS has been revised to clarify this.
3- Question: Do the window cleaning services include the New Canteen Dining Area?
Answer: Yes. However, the exterior shall be quoted now, as the area is not yet open. Once it is opened, interior cleaning shall be added via supplemental agreement. The PWS has been revised to reflect this information (section 2.5).
