About this file
The document is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for testing high steam pressure limit switches on a boiler, specifically referencing SOP 544-138-11-5 for the WT Boiler SD6MSOP 15_P. The procedure provides detailed step-by-step instructions for safely testing boiler pressure limit switches, including securing power, verifying pressure setpoints, and methodically checking high and high-high boiler steam pressure limit switches. The document includes safety warnings about using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and requires careful monitoring of boiler pressure during the testing process.
This technical procedure is directly related to a VA medical center solicitation (36C24726Q0127) for Boiler Plant Control Systems Preventative Maintenance Services, which is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The solicitation is for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 7 (VISN 07) located in Columbia, SC, with a NAICS code of 561210 and a small business size standard of $47.0 Million. The procurement seeks comprehensive boiler maintenance services, and prospective vendors must be registered in SAM and verified as an SDVOSB to be eligible for award.
