About this file
This is an amendment to a solicitation extending the deadline and providing responses to contractor questions for a door maintenance and repair contract at the Asheville Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The solicitation number is 36C24626Q0481, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 6.
The amendment addresses multiple clarifying questions submitted by potential offerors regarding the scope of work, which involves door maintenance and repair services. Key areas of clarification likely include specifications for the types of doors to be serviced, maintenance frequency requirements, repair response times, and material or labor standards. The amendment extends the proposal submission deadline to allow contractors additional time to prepare comprehensive responses based on the clarifications provided. Specific pricing terms, award date, and set-aside information are not detailed in this summary document, but interested contractors should reference the original solicitation and this amendment for complete requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions.

1. The RFQ references monthly preventative maintenance (12x annually). 1. Will the VA require that all automatic door inspections and preventative maintenance be performed by AAADM Certified Inspectors, with documentation provided?
Yes

Yes
8. Asset Inventory / Door Quantities:
1. If available, can the VA provide an existing inventory of automatic doors across the facility? We understand a site visit will be included and are happy to validate on-site, but a baseline inventory will help ensure accurate PM planning and pricing.
We currently do not have an inventory of every door.
