The contractor must provide three types of containers: 30-gallon grey bins, 96-gallon containers, and 30-gallon cardboard boxes (24x24x24), along with plastic biohazard liners. Pickup schedules vary by location: Kernersville HCC requires once-weekly service of approximately 4-6 96-gallon containers of pathological waste and one 96-gallon container for trace chemotherapy waste; Charlotte HCC requires once-weekly service of approximately twenty 30-gallon grey bins, 6-8 cardboard boxes, and 2-4 red 19-gallon sharps containers; Salisbury VAMC requires twice-weekly service of approximately 15-20 grey 30-gallon pathological waste containers, 7-8 cardboard boxes, and 3-4 19-gallon chemotherapy waste containers per week. The estimated annual waste volumes across all Salisbury locations total 150,000 pounds for pathological waste and trace chemotherapy combined, and 12,000 pounds for incinerator waste, with no other special destruction requirements. The 96-gallon reusable wheeled carts are acceptable at Kernersville HCC.
