About this file
This is Amendment 0002 to RFQ 36C24626Q0250 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 6 (VA Hampton, Virginia). The amendment extends the solicitation deadline from February 25, 2026 to March 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. EST and provides vendor responses to four questions submitted on February 19, 2026. The solicitation concerns window treatments for Building 148 at a VA domiciliary facility. Key responses include: the VA cannot confirm whether existing windows are impact-rated due to their age; chain-operated manual window treatments with clutch systems are not acceptable, with the VA preferring cordless options; a mandatory site visit is scheduled for March 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST at Building 36 Security Office with point of contact Lawson Dyson (757-951-5384); and vendors must conduct onsite review and field measurement of all windows for custom fit prior to material ordering and fabrication, with additional site evaluation expected after award. The amendment also incorporates FAR clause 52.236-27 (Site Visit for Construction) and FAR clauses 52.236-2 and 52.236-3 regarding site conditions. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
