About this file

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Custom Surgical Packs issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 for the Central Virginia VA Healthcare System. The solicitation seeks a contractor to provide custom sterile procedure packs for one VA Medical Center and one Health Care Clinic, with an initial three-year ordering period from February 1, 2026, through January 31, 2029. The RFQ requires vendors to provide a comprehensive range of surgical packs including Ophthalmology, Angio, Cysto, ENT, Vascular, Laparoscopy, and other specialized surgical procedure packs.

Key requirements include mandatory attendance at a Presentation Day on January 16, 2026, where vendors must submit sample packs for evaluation, compliance with FDA regulations, and ability to customize pack contents. The solicitation specifies strict quality control measures, including sterilization standards, component traceability, and a defect rate of less than 1%. Vendors must provide electronic data interchange (EDI) capabilities, offer flexible ordering options, and maintain a minimum 97% fill rate for orders. The contract will be awarded on a pass/fail technical evaluation basis, with the most advantageous offer considering both technical capabilities and pricing.
