About this file

This document is an Amendment to Request for Quote (RFQ) 36C24625Q0784 for Courier Services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6, located in Hampton, VA. The amendment extends the RFQ response deadline to June 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM EDT and provides detailed responses to 20 questions from a site visit held on June 24, 2025. The courier service will cover five VA clinic locations: Central Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond, Emporia VA Clinic, Charlottesville VA Clinic, Henrico County VA Clinic, and Fredericksburg VA Clinic.

Key service requirements include daily courier routes Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, with specific pickup and drop-off times at each location. Couriers will transport lab specimens, mail, packages, and medication totes, following precise protocols for each facility. The contract requires drivers to maintain valid licenses, receive safety training for specimen transportation, and adhere to specific pickup/drop-off procedures. The previous contract was held by Crosstown Courier Service (Contract #36C24622D0048), and the new contract will require approximately 249-250 round trips annually. The VA will provide totes and coolers, but contractors are responsible for maintaining appropriate transportation conditions.
