About this file
This document is an Amendment to Solicitation (Standard Form 30) for a construction project to repair fire doors at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. The solicitation (36C24625B0017) involves repairing and replacing fire and smoke doors in Buildings 1 and 3, requiring door specialists, electricians, wall finishers, and laborers. The project scope includes specific door repairs and replacements in various rooms across different floors, with requirements for frame labeling, hardware installation, and adherence to VA specifications and infection control guidelines.
Key project details include a 150-calendar day completion timeline from Notice to Proceed, with most construction work to be performed after normal working hours (1700-0700). A pre-bid walk-through is highly recommended, and a VA Locksmith will be available to answer questions. The project is being conducted by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, with a site visit location at Fayetteville VAMC, 2300 Ramsey St. Fayetteville, NC 28301. The amendment also implements changes related to certain FAR provisions and clauses pursuant to Executive Orders 14173 and 14168.
