About this file
This document is a Solicitation Amendment (SF30) for a Courier Services Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the Hershel Woody Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. The solicitation covers courier services for general and pharmacy supplies across multiple VA facilities in West Virginia and Ohio, including locations in Huntington, Charleston, Gallipolis, Lenore, and Prestonsburg, with a performance period from 2/1/2026 to 1/31/2027 and two option years.
The amendment includes detailed questions and answers that provide critical operational insights, such as the incumbent contractor being Crosstown Courier Service, current trip volumes (193 trips within 30 miles, 48 trips outside 30 miles), and specific service requirements. Key specifications include one-way trips, 24/7 on-call availability, 2-hour pickup response times (1-hour for Blood Bank), approximately 30% of runs outside normal business hours, and no controlled substance transport. Quotes are due on December 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST, with pricing based on trip distances (within/outside 30-mile radius) and specific route requirements for various VA facilities.
