About this file
This file contains Request for Information (RFI) documents and pre-bid questions for a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) construction project at the Clarksburg, WV VA Medical Center. The project involves constructing a mobile imaging pad, including interior utility connections, electrical routing, and site preparation. Key details include a bid due date of January 21, 2026, located in Huntington, WV, with a requirement for a West Virginia state contractor's license. The project involves specific technical requirements such as ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) compliance, utility connections, and precise construction specifications for asphalt pavement, site fencing, and interior conduit installation.
The solicitation requires careful coordination with VA staff, including 21-day notification for major electrical interruptions and 15-day notification for water and waste interruptions. Notable technical specifications include a modified asphalt pavement section of 2.5" HMA Base Course and 1.5" HMA Wearing Course, use of HEPA carts for infection control during interior work, and strict staffing requirements for roles such as Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO). The project scope encompasses utility connections, ceiling modifications, and site preparation, with an emphasis on minimal disruption to the existing hospital operations and adherence to VA construction standards.
