About this file
This document outlines a special notice for architect-engineering services from the Department of Veterans Affairs related to the design of a clinical services addition project at the Hershel Woody Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. The notice seeks qualification packages and past performance information from service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses for design services to construct a new three-story, 26,000 square foot clinical addition and renovate approximately 13,700 square feet of existing space. Design services will include project management, engineering disciplines like civil, structural and MEP, construction administration, commissioning and providing conceptual plans for additional expansion options. Evaluation criteria include firm qualifications, healthcare experience, past performance, quality control and project management approach, capacity and local knowledge. The selection process involves evaluating submissions against these criteria and interviewing the top three qualified firms, with the highest ranked firm invited to provide pricing.
