Questions and Answers:

1) With the new elevators being installed...do you want me to include a monthly price starting year 1 or do you have any idea as to when those would be included?

Answer: Please include a monthly price as there is no estimated time the Government can provide as to when the Elevators will require service. The expectation is that, until the elevators are serviced, the vendor will not bill for services not rendered.

2) Are there any deficiencies known locally or written up by an inspector? (cables, packings/seals or leaks, motor/machine/controller, performance/ride issues, electrical or fixture problems?)

Answer: The only item found to be in question and not already addressed was the door operators for Bldg 18 which are being replaced.

3) Does the both the subcontractor and prime contractor need to be registered in Sams? Or is it okay for it to be just the prime contractor?

Answer: This is a general FAR question. The contractor should consult the FAR for the answer to this question.

4) In Attachment C, Page 29, Question 2 ii, regarding Affirmative Compliance. Do we have to fill this out?

Answer: Please see quote submission instructions on page 16: 1) Completed certifications and representations located at FAR 52.212-3, or an indication that said certifications and representations are current and located in the SAM database. Signed acknowledgements of amendments (SF30). Applicable only if any amendments are issued against this solicitation. If exception to 52.222-41 applies in accordance with 52.204-8(c)(2)(v) or 52.212-3(k)(1) or 52.204-8(c)(2)(vi) or 52.212-3(k)(2) response shall include the certification as to which exception is applicable and why.

5) How do we submit the quote:

Answer: Please see the quote submission instructions that start on page 15 of Attachment C for submission instructions.
