About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details an electrical panel replacement project for the Syracuse Veterans Administration Medical Center. The project involves replacing a 1200 amp Square D distribution panel with a new 600 amp panel in the ground floor electric room DG11, located in a research department area. Key requirements include using qualified union electricians, providing manufacturer shop drawings, following NFPA 70 and NEC codes, and completing work within 92 days after award, including material lead time.

Specific electrical work tasks include reviewing project documents, submitting material specifications, replacing the back box to improve panel access, removing and replacing conduit and wireway ducts, reducing wire crimps, and performing at least 4 outages (some during off-hours or weekends). Deliverables include cable testing reports, newly installed breaker test reports, and updated as-built prints. Work will be performed during the medical center's regular administrative hours (7:00am to 4:00pm EST), excluding federal holidays, with additional off-hours work coordinated for electrical shutdowns and tie-ins.
