About this file

This is an amendment to a solicitation for linen transportation services. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 2 is seeking a contractor to transport soiled and clean linens between medical centers and a textile care facility located in St. Albans, New York. The amendment provides additional details regarding trailer requirements including safety bars to secure 33 linen carts up to 600 pounds and 6 feet high per trailer. Trailers must be constructed of non-absorbent materials like steel, aluminum or fiberglass. A minimum of 13 trailers total are required, with 8 located at medical centers to collect soiled linens and 5 at the textile care facility to load clean linens. The amendment also replaces the previous price schedule to account for a revised start date. Offers are due by November 29, 2023.
