About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for a Veteran Lodging Services solicitation (Solicitation Number: 36C24126Q0126) for the White River Junction VA Medical Center. The solicitation is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)/Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) set-aside for commercial items, seeking hotel lodging services for veterans. Key details include an estimated 4 hotel stays weekly (68 monthly, 816 yearly) for the Veteran Lodging program, with an additional 14 monthly stays (168 yearly) for Emergency Shelter. The requirement covers hotels within a specific distance range of the medical center, with no predetermined preference for specific hotels.
The Q&A clarifies several important points: there is no incumbent contractor, the government will provide a tax-exempt form after award, and hotels must have ADA-compliant rooms as needed. Veterans will be responsible for their own incidental expenses beyond standard room charges. Vendors must be registered in SAM.gov and VetCert databases, and verified by the Small Business Administration. The solicitation uses streamlined procedures for commercial items, with quotes requested directly through this combined synopsis/solicitation notice. The associated NAICS code is 721110, with a small business size standard of $40 million, and the soliciting agency is the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration.

3. Confirming you're looking for ~4 double rooms per hotel for one night per week or 1 double room per hotel for 4 nights per week? I was trying to back into the approximate number of room based on the monthly / yearly nights needed. The numbers noted in the Statement of Work are estimates only. The Government is not advocating for any particular hotel.
