About this file

This document outlines minimum technical requirements for personal protective equipment to be procured by the Department of Veterans Affairs under a Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor contract. Required PPE includes surgical masks, N95 respirators, gowns, protective eyewear, face shields, hair/shoe covers, and Tyvek coveralls, which must meet standards such as ASTM and FDA. The solicitation seeks to award BPAs for supplying PPE that complies with the Make PPE in America Act to all VA medical centers and clinics covered under the MSPV program, in order to ensure availability and standardize pricing for quality supplies. An industry day will be held the week of December 18, 2023 to brief manufacturers on requirements and address questions for interested offerors.
