1. At Penthouse Wall where there is Copper flashing, Will there be another piece of counter flashing under the existing copper?
a. Wherever there is existing copper flashing it shall remain. All new counterflashing material will be copper.
2. Has there been a core test done on all roofs to determine what material and decking type is on each roof?
a. No core tests or testing was done or is available.
3. Who will be responsible for Ductwork that has to be removed temporarily to reroof?
a. The General Contractor is responsible for removing and reinstalling all items temporarily removed for new roof installation.
4. Please clarify which pieces of the roof drains will be replaced. Will the bowl be replaced down to the drainpipe and who will be responsible for the removal?
a. The General Contractor is responsible for removal and installation drain bowl and connection to existing roof drain piping.
5. Can large pipes and HVAC legs be wrapped with material, or do they have to be pitch panned?
a. Large pipes in HVAC and legs penetration are to be wrapped per membrane roof manufacturer’s standard details.
6. What hours will the various crews be allowed to work? How many days a week?
a. Construction hours are anytime between 6AM and 5PM Monday through Friday except for Holidays. Work during other times may be allowed upon formal request in writing for After-Hours work.
7. Will there be hours during the day when noise will not be allowed?

Roofing industry base flashing standard is a minimum 8" above the plane of the roof for heights. If so, this places the perimeter of the roof at the stump parapet wall below that height. Door thresholds, windows, & through wall flashing points at rising walls may also be below this height. Must all building edges, and wall penetrations be raised to accommodate the new height of the roof? Also, please provide added details for the door thresholds impacted by the raised roof plane.
