About this file
This pre-solicitation notice summarizes an upcoming competitive solicitation for a construction project to replace boilers and construct an addition at a VA Medical Center located in Providence, Rhode Island. The general scope of work involves demolishing existing structures, installing three new dual-fueled high-pressure water boilers to provide 118psi steam to the campus system, new boiler and burner controls with a SCADA system, and constructing a new two-story addition. The project must comply with VA physical security and resilience standards and has a magnitude between $20-50 million. The solicitation will be issued using best value evaluation and require a bid bond of at least 20% but not more than $3 million. The NAICS code is 237130 with a $39.5 million size standard. The project is fully set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. All documents will be accessible on SAM.gov and amendments posted there; offerors must verify the number issued and register in SAM.
