1. Please provide basis of design and specification for the gas booster shown on MH-702 VA Response: The gas booster shall be capable of handling 600 CFH of natural gas with an outlet pressure of 12”w.c. and an incoming pressure of 5” w.c. Accardi brand, MD-101 model or equivalent.
1. Please provide basis of design for the Roof Top units scheduled on MH-801 VA Response: Innovent brand, CAHU-3500-IF-HM-HD-AC-HG-460 model or equivalent.
1. Please provide basis of design and specification for the portable clean water system schedule on MH-801 VA Response: Stulz DEMI cabinet/bottle system.
1. A001 mentions the VA is to provide and install the safety cabinets, however a specification was issued for those in the construction documents. Please confirm that those will be provided and installed by the VA.
VA Response: There is no drawing A001. Please review and revise the question as necessary. In general, all equipment is required to be provided and installed by the contractor, unless otherwise noted on the plans. Drawing AS-102 does list certain pieces of equipment and the requirements for who provides and who installs such devices.
1. If there are electrical junction boxes above the suspended ceiling, how will they be handled once the ceiling is converted to a hard ceiling?
VA Response: No junction boxes are permitted above the hard ceiling in the compounding/ante-rooms. If junction boxes are used, they may only be permitted in the entryway (Room 221) and must be provided with a sealed access panel.
Will the junction boxes be accessed through access panels in the hard celling, or will they have to be relocated to an accessible position?
VA Response: There will need to be a sealed access panel for junction boxes above the hard ceiling and they will need to be relocated to the entryway (Room 221).
1. Does the VA have a program for the proper disposal of the fluorescent light tubes?
VA Response: Yes, we do have fluorescent light tubes recycling & disposal program managed by EMS waste contract.
1. What is the location that the data cables are to be pulled back to?
VA Response: Data Cables shall be pulled back to IT closet G196, Building 1, Ground Floor.
1. On Page 40 of the Solicitation under EVALUATION FACTORS AND BASIS FOR AWARD, the Note indicates - NOTE: A Past Performance questionnaire is attached. Offerors should distribute the questionnaire to former clients, who will in turn complete the questionnaire and forward it directly to the Contract Specialist prior to the due date of offers. However, the only similar document attached to the solicitation is the PAST PERFROMANCE INFORMATION SHEET (page 46 of 47). This does NOT appear to be the questionnaire that is requested above.
The PAST PERFORMANCE INFORMATION SHEET does not include any places for an evaluator to evaluate the contractor’s performance. Is there another document available for distribution to former clients?
VA Response: Please use the PAST PERFORMANCE INFORMATION SHEET on Page 46 in lieu of a Past Performance Questionnaire. The following paragraph on Page 40 under EVALUATION FACTORS AND BASIS FOR AWARD referencing the NOTE: is hereby removed in its entirety from the solicitation:
NOTE: A Past Performance questionnaire is attached. Offerors should distribute the questionnaire to former clients, who will in turn complete the questionnaire and forward it directly to the Contract Specialist prior to the due date of offers.
1. Is the referenced project set-aside for Veterans only? There is no clear statement either way.
VA Response: FBO identifies the Set Aside: N/A. The project is not a set-aside.
1. Information purposes: The VA will not be scheduling a 2nd site visit and will not be able to provide access to view the site for any separate request received for any vendor who has missed the original Site Visit date and time.
