See attached document: 36C10G22Q0134 0001 Q_A Amendment.

1. Given the amount of price increases in raw materials and components we have seen in the last year, would the VA be willing to allow for price increases in option years?

Yes, we do allow increases for inflation. Please submit what you perceive as inflation increases.

1. I believe the spirit of the transfer height the VA is trying to accomplish is ADA accessible height. According to CMS, this is 17-19" minimum height. In light of this being a brand name or equal solicitation, we respectfully ask you revise this salient characteristic to the ADA standard. https://beta.ada.gov/resources/medical-care-mobility/ The minimum of 18” is the requirement anything lower is above and beyond, anything higher than 18” will be evaluated for ease of use and transfer of a patient who is using a wheelchair.

1. "Sensors prevent injuries during table movement" is a Brewer only feature. In light of this being a brand name or equal solicitation, we respectfully ask this requirement be relaxed as our review of Joint Commission data from 2021 only showed 7 sentinel events regarding medical equipment. We see no evidence that any of these were because of an exam table. Please see the attached report.

Your focus should be on the salient characteristics. Please submit your solution based on your product. You submission will be elevation based on the salient characteristics and not the CLIN items provided.

1. Colors like Clamshell, Gunmetal, Feather, and Tapestry Red are all proprietary colors for Brewer. We respectfully ask these color names be removed.

Please provide your best solution, if you have your own proprietary colors, please submit.

1. Would the VA be willing to entertain a zone system for installation of tables given the different areas across the country? Would the government also be willing to entertain quantity breaks on both exam tables and installation costs?

YES

1. On attachment A, if we are submitting an equal product, can we make a new columns showing the offered brand name/part #/description to match the Brewer information?

Unless you have objections, my reply is “Yes, they may added new column.
