About this file

This document contains a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal contract solicitation related to UPS system and battery cabinet maintenance. The solicitation is a recompete of an existing requirement, with the previous contract order number 36C10E20P0265. The last service inspection for the current system occurred on August 12, 2025.

Regarding staffing, the government has not specified a required number of electricians for the contract. Instead, vendors are expected to independently determine their staffing levels and personnel approach to meet the performance requirements outlined in the Statement of Work. The Q&A suggests that potential bidders have flexibility in designing their workforce strategy to fulfill the contract's technical specifications.

Question: 1 – Is the solicitation a new requirement set by the government or is this a contract currently being performed that the government is renewing. If this is a renewal, do you have the contract number associated with the old contract?

Response: The Statement of Work established that ‘the existing UPS system and battery cabinet have been serviced semi-annually with the last inspection occurring on August 12, 2025.’ Therefore, the solicitation package clearly demonstrated that this requirement is a recompete of an existing requirement. The existing requirement is Order Number 36C10E20P0265.

Question: 2 – How many electricians are expected for this solicitation?

Response: The Government does not prescribe the specific number of labor staffing levels required to perform the work. Vendors are responsible for determining staffing and personnel approach to satisfy the performance requirements in the Statement of Work.
