About this file
This engineering specification from Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory details requirements for 10 radiation-resistant pressure transducers needed for the Mu2e experiment's equipment cooling water system. The transducers must measure gauge pressure with a range of 0-150 PSIG, have temperature compensation from 0-50°C, and maintain 1% FS accuracy or better.
The devices must withstand a 2Mrad/yr radiation environment for 10 years and operate in magnetic fields up to 600 gauss. Technical requirements include stainless steel wetted materials, mV/V output signal (preferred), and DIN rail mountable signal conditioning amplifiers producing 4-20mA output. Eight sensors require 70-meter radiation-resistant cables, while two need 45-meter cables. Responses are due by January 27, 2025, at 4:00 PM CST to Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334519, with delivery required to Fermilab in Batavia, IL.
