Novato Housing Fencing Questions and Answers
Question 1: Given the requirement to field-verify linear footage under a Firm-Fixed Price "Job" structure, how will the government address potential discrepancies between the estimated ~950 LF and actual field measurements?
Answer 1: Including the amendment sent out (adding ~140’ or fence to meet existing fencing ) the total estimate length of fence is ~1090 (740 L.F. of chain link, and 350 L.F.
of Ornamental). These are conservative estimates. The contractor must confirm site conditions after award in accordance with FAR clause 52.236-3, which is incorporated into the solicitation and shall be incorporated into the resulting award.
Question 2: Does the government require a specific brand or model for the mechanical cypher locks on pedestrian gates to ensure facility standardization?

Question 3: Could the government provide profile drawings or more detailed topographical data for the "cliƯ" and "ditch" sections mentioned in the site layout to ensure proper security gap mitigation?
