About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for the Station Bodega Bay Electronic Security System (ESS) Upgrade project. The document clarifies contractor responsibilities and system requirements for a USCG facility upgrade.

The contractor is responsible for providing all major components and infrastructure for the ESS system, including access control credentials, workstations, network connections, POE/POE+ power, camera selection and placement, and determining access panel controller locations. The system must be compatible with Base Alameda's ESS and operate as a stand-alone installation with the capability to integrate with other base security systems in the future. The contractor will determine appropriate camera types (fixed, panoramic, pan/tilt/zoom, etc.) for specific areas based on security needs, and must ensure all devices receive proper power supply. The USCG will not provide AutoCAD architectural files, network infrastructure, POE/POE+ connections, or Mandatory Compliance Documents (which contractors must locate independently through web searches). Any manufacturer system compatible with Base Alameda's ESS is acceptable, with no restrictions to a specific manufacturers list.
