About this file
This is a Request for Quote (RFP) issued by Venture Academy Charter School, a charter school located in Marriott-Slaterville, Utah, for the supply and installation of golf ball containment netting. The school seeks to mitigate the risk of stray golf balls from an adjacent golf course entering its playground area. The project requires approximately 200 feet in length and 50 feet in height of high-strength, UV-treated netting installed on metal support poles extending above an existing chain link fence. The netting system must be designed to withstand local wind loads and typical weather conditions, with poles installed on the inside of the existing fence. Site visits are encouraged and can be scheduled by contacting Jason Chantry, Facilities Manager, at 801-388-5359. The RFP was posted on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 12:00 pm, with bids due on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 10:00 am. The contract award date is on or before May 6, 2026 at 4:00 pm, with construction to commence after June 1, 2026 and projected substantial completion by July 24, 2026.
Proposals will be evaluated on three criteria totaling 100 points: experience in similar projects (30 points), schedule feasibility and confidence (30 points), and total project cost (40 points). The lowest bidder will receive 40 points for cost, with remaining bids scored in ascending order by price, though bids significantly lower than competitors may require clarification before point assignment. Required submittals include signed proposal sheets, netting material specifications, pole material and installation details, maintenance and warranty information, examples of similar installations, proof of business licensing and insurance, and a separate cost sheet. Bidders must acknowledge in writing that they have reviewed all requirements and that their submission includes all required documentation, with incomplete or non-compliant submissions subject to disqualification. Venture Academy reserves the right to select any bid or reject all bids based on what it determines best serves the school's needs.
