About this file
This is an RFP background document describing the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) and Salt Lake Community College (SLCC), the procuring entity for an Architectural and Engineering Services contract related to an AAB 101 Office Remodel project. USHE, established in 1969, comprises eight public colleges and universities and eight technical colleges committed to providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality post-secondary education. SLCC, Utah's largest open-enrollment institution founded in 1948, serves over 60,000 students annually across eight campuses in the Salt Lake Valley with a student-to-faculty ratio of 20 to 1. The RFSQ anticipates a single contract award to the responsive and responsible vendor with the highest justified score. Beyond SLCC, other USHE member institutions—including Utah Valley University, Utah State University, Weber State University, University of Utah, Snow College, Southern Utah University, Utah Tech University, and eight technical colleges—may have the option to purchase off the resulting contract by signing a Participating Addendum or entering into a separate direct contract with the awarded offeror, though each institution may choose not to proceed with any procurement or agreement.
The file does not contain detailed information regarding specific pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent vendors, response deadlines, due dates, site visits, bidders' conferences, award dates, contract term, renewal options, or funding sources and amounts. These procurement specifics would typically be found in the full RFSQ document rather than in this background section.
