The solicitation seeks competitive sealed bids for one (1) Aerial Truck with detailed technical requirements spanning 27 specific minimum specifications, including an insulated aerial lift/boom, a 14-yard chip box, hydraulic outriggers, a side-mounted platform, and various technical and safety features. The vehicle must have a diesel engine with at least 250 horsepower, an automatic transmission, AWD/4WD drivetrain, and an elevator lift capable of reaching 75 feet. Delivery is specified to Salt Lake City Public Services/Fleet Management Division, with bidders required to certify completed unit delivery within 8 months after order receipt.
The technical specifications outline comprehensive requirements for bidders, including mandatory provisions for local parts and service facilities, warranty details, and specific equipment configurations. Bidders must provide a complete response indicating compliance or non-compliance with each specification, with the City reserving the right to evaluate alternate proposals. The document emphasizes strict compliance, warning that willful falsification of responses could result in suspension or debarment from bidding. Optional items can be added, and bidders must specify warranty years and terms. The procurement is focused on obtaining a specialized utility vehicle with advanced technical capabilities for municipal public service operations.
