About this file

This is an electronic signature agreement form issued by the County of Bergen, New Jersey, establishing procedures for vendors to conduct business electronically through the Bonfire e-procurement platform. The document authorizes vendors to create a single vendor profile that serves all local units within Bergen County, enabling electronic submission of bids, requests for proposals, requests for quotations, and other offers. The form requires an authorized individual representing the vendor to affirm that their electronic signature is valid and legally binding for conducting business with participating local units. The electronic signature remains valid for one year from the date the form is executed.

The agreement is predicated on compliance with the E-Sign Act (signed into law June 30, 2000) and New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, which authorize state and local government agencies to use electronic forms, filing, and signatures for official business. Vendors must demonstrate intent and consent to conduct business electronically and must provide complete information including the authorized individual's name, title, phone number, email address, and signature. The form emphasizes that electronic records created through this process have business, legal, and potentially historical value and must be maintained accordingly by government entities in New Jersey.
