About this file

This document is an E-Signature Agreement from the County of Bergen, New Jersey, involving Bonfire e-procurement solution. The agreement authorizes electronic signatures and electronic business transactions for local government units, leveraging the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act) and the State of New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA). The document allows vendors to create a single vendor profile usable across all local units in Bergen County, with the signed agreement valid for one year from the date of signature.

The agreement enables vendors to submit bids, requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and other offers electronically to participating local units. It establishes a standardized process for electronic signatures, requiring an affirmative signature with a record and explicit consent from both parties. The primary goal is to modernize procurement processes by facilitating electronic business transactions while maintaining legal and historical record-keeping standards for government agencies.
